Beau's has always been awesome to me and sent me a nice care package with their new Juiced A.F. Hazy IPA, a glass for the beer and a hot sauce that contains a sample of the beer.. oh I can't wait to try that out with a helping of wings! Unfortunately I may not see this beer in Manitoba - for now you can still find Beau's beer at the Quality Inn Beer Store in Winnipeg and the Onanole Home Hardware.
From the website: Juiced AF is a full-throttle NEIPA, double-dry-hopped and unfiltered. Big aromas of ripe fruit, sticky resin and tropical juice deliver a revved-up rip-ride. It’s not just juicy … it’s Juiced AF. 6.5% ABV
Appearance: Thick, rich with a heavy, yet murky orange body to it, lots of off-white head on top that won't diminish until a good five minutes into waiting.. waiting.. but finally it leaves behind very little amount of bubbles on the side of the glass.
Aroma: I miss living on the farm - this has a bit of an oaty aroma to it, slight creaminess, notes of orange, lemon, hint of caramel. The orange is the predominant aroma here but the others pop out quite a good deal as well.
Taste: Quite a sweet-forward NEIPA-style beer with notes of orange, lemon, a hint of pine bitterness, somewhat oaty, quite smooth and a slightly creamy aftertaste at the end.
Overall Thoughts: Solid NEIPA, sweet, quite smooth and very creamy. I've been finding a few are too overly carbonated as of lately but this one was diminished quite quickly! Merci Beau's for sending this my way!
