Review: Twin Sails Dat Juice Citra Pale Ale

I may keep this interview short as I lost ALL my energy immediately after photographing this beer.. so I'm actually ready for bed now!

Today I'm checking out Twin Sails Brewing's Dat Juice Citra Pale Ale.

From their website: Dat Juice is an unfiltered pale ale brewed with large amounts of flaked and malted wheat, then heavily dry hopped with %100 Citra hops. It pours a cloudy pale straw colour with bright aromatics of grapefruit, pineapple and mango. 5.2% ABV | 25 IBU

Appearance: Dat Juice pours a very cloudy blonde/light orange with a good deal of carbonation and a moderate amount of off-white head on top. The body is quite carbonated even 15-20 minutes in.

Aroma: Mildly citrusy Pale Ale with notes of orange peel, a bit of pineapple, a light floral hop presence. It's fairly light for my initial impressions but smells great.

Taste: A tad bitter from the beginning with a bit of a floral presence and a slight acidic presence to it. It's fairly light to begin with for me but it has a nice tropical fruitiness presence to it that we also saw in the aroma - orange peel and pineapple. There's a light spiced yet fruity aftertaste that lingers at the end, but can't really put my finger on it as it is. There's possibly a hint of passionfruit in here?

Overall Thoughts: Easy to drink Citra-inspired Pale Ale, it's fairly light but has nice tropical fruit presence to it, it has a bit of a floral/spiced aftertaste at the end that I just can't put my finger on it. Citrusy, floral, smooth.
