Happy new years folks! Today's review is Lagunitas' Wilco Tango Foxtrot ale, a malty, robust, jobless recovery ale - ha reminds me of my life a year and half ago!
Appearance: WTF pours a reddish nutty brown, dark. Creamy beige head, thick and foamy,
Aroma: Quite a bitter yet floral hoppiness to it, pine hops, quite nutty, bitter and sweet burnt caramel.
Taste: A bitter sweet nutty ale, bitterness of the hops yet again, followed by a bit of coffee roastiness, burnt caramel, and a hint of chocolate to it.
Overall Thoughts: A decent malty brown ale with a good amount of hops to it, burnt caramel, quite sweet, quite bitter and roasty, but quite easy to drink at the same time. 7.85% ABV.
